MJST revises its Information for Authors and Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Mindanao Journal of Science and Technology (MJST) editorial office has modified the Information for Authors (IFA) and Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement (PEMS) to better guide the authors in preparing their manuscripts and for MJST to strongly adhere to the publication standards.

Among the few additions to the IFA is the inclusion of the certificate of proofreading from the professional editors along with the manuscript to be submitted. In the certificate, the credentials and affiliations of the editors should be penned. This is ought to improve the manuscripts’ English writing and structure, thereby boosting their chance of getting accepted. In the PEMS, one of the revisions made is for authors to indicate the study protocol number and the issuing Institutional Ethics Committee and Institutional Animal Care Unit or Provincial/City/Municipal Veterinary Office for health-related studies that include human participants and animal subjects, respectively.

The revised guidelines take effect for manuscripts submitted from June 21, 2022, onwards.
